About the Gateway Council
of Hostelling International-USA

The Gateway Council of Hostelling International-USA is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to help all, especially the young, gain a greater understanding of the world and its people through hostelling.

We sponsor many bicycling, hiking and canoeing events throughout the year, including the Moonlight Ramble, Cycle Across Missouri (CAM) and the Five-Star Century Series. Belonging to Hostelling International also opens the doors to thousands of hostels throughout the world and lots of low-cost travel opportunities.

Proceeds from Tour de Stooges go toward operating the many programs the Gateway Council offers and for the establishment of a hostel in St. Louis.
